It's day one of Independence Day weekend: so there'll be more folks coming and going on motorcycles, hauling boats, or parked in front of friends' or relatives' houses.
I grilled lunch - but that's on the other side of the house.
In the spirit of Public Service Announcements: have a fun and safe holiday weekend.
Sauk Centre, Minnesota: near the corner of Ash Street and South 9th.

A Whole Month and No Posts: Good News, in a Way
More than a month, and no posts. In a way, that's good, since I tend to post when there's some sort of technical trouble. Which may be coming. I've been getting sporadic warnings that my webcam can't access the Internet. All that's happened so far is that some of the once-a-minute updates didn't happen, but I'm keeping an eye on it.
I still haven't done a 'what you're looking at' diagram. Haven't forgotten it, so much as been distracted.
Pity, the St. Patrick's Day decorations across the street aren't large enough to show here.

White Christmas, Here We Come!
Snow over the last few days gave this part of Minnesota a traditional, seasonal, look.
It also made driving treacherous in spots, but that's par for the course around here.
I've found myself singing "I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas" off and on. You can see why.

Independence Day, 2008
You can't hear it, but there pop and crackle of fireworks is in the air.
Which is notable, since that sort of thing is illegal here in Minnesota.
Me? I haven't set off a firecracker in years, but I don't mind people who do. Pulling bottle rockets and assorted scrap out of the yard is a minor annoyance: but it's worth it, to hear the sounds of the Fourth of July, as I remember it, back in the day.
